What services do you offer?
We offer our estate sale services to overwhelmed families who have lost a loved one, moved a loved one into residential living, or doing an extreme downsizing. When a family has a full household to deal with but isn't taking much out, we will help you turn that overwhelming task into a check and an empty house, that's ready for its next adventure, or ready for the market. We also do buy-outs and business liquidations.
What are the rates of your services?
Tucker Estate Sales charges the standard rate of 40%. The rate may be more if the estate is small or if there is a lot of cleaning to be done before and after, or a fee may be charged on top of the percentage. TES covers labor for prep work and sale time. We also cover advertising and any expenses that come up. Sometimes a dumpster is needed and that fee is paid for by owner, but is well worth it! If you have any questions about the rate we charge, please give us a call.
Does TES require any payment before a sale?
No. Any payment for services comes out of the proceeds from the sale.
Can we live in the home while TES is prepping for the sale, or leave items we're keeping in the home during the sale?
It is an established rule of our industry that a proper sale cannot be conducted with a client still living in the home or attending the sale. You will be hiring a reputable estate sale company with years upon years of experience, references, and an outstanding reputation to uphold. No one should be living in the home or coming in and out of the home once an estate sale company goes to work. Any items the family is keeping, should be removed preferably before a viewing of the estate, but definitely before a company goes to work in the home.

Honesty, integrity, work ethic, and a love for what we do! Experience, responsibility, and the knowledge to maximize the profit out of any sale we take on. We know that we put more effort into all that we do as compared to so many in the industry, as do the clients who've hired us before. Ask us for references! We have plenty, new and from long ago. They are ready to let you know how they felt about their experience and the about relief they felt, turning over this huge job to us! We are also fully inured. Which isn't common place in our industry. Insurance isn't a requirement in our industry, but we always try to do what is right, which is why we have secured the best insurance for all parties involved.
What does TES supply?
TES owns over 100 tables, multiple canopies, extensive in-house signage to keep everyone in-the-know and street signage to direct everyone to where we are. We also supply the proper display equipment such as risers, jewelry displays, lockable glass cases for small collectables, tablecloths, credit card readers, and POS system, cleaners, vacuum, carpet protecting film (if needed), hand trucks, and any tools needed for the job. TES invented the holding shelves and holding area (so Cherish likes to think), and is the only company we know of, that supplies boxes for customers, along with wrapping for breakables and bags if desired. Rarely does anyone leave empty handed. We supply anything needed to have a great sale! The owner has to supply nothing!
****UPDATE AS OF 10/21: TES IS ALWAYS TRYING TO STAY STEPS AHEAD OF THE REST. WE NOW SUPPLY OUR OWN 4G/WI-FI CONNECTION! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? THIS MEANS CREDIT CARDS WILL FLY THROUGH THE SYSTEM AND CUSTOMER LINES WILL BE MOVING EVEN FASTER. THIS ALSO MEANS WE CAN BETTER PROTECT THE HOME AND ITS CONTENTS BY HAVING MORE CAMERAS SET UP PRE-SALE AND DURING A SALE, WHICH MEANS YOUR HOME IS EVEN SAFER UNDER OUR CARE! THIS ALSO MEANS FASTER AND MORE CONNECTIONS FOR RESEARCH AND PROMOTION!
Is Tucker Estate Sales fully insured?
Yes, we are! Ask us any anytime for our insurance certificate. You can be assured that any job we do, we are backed by our insurance company. We take our our safety, our customers safety, and the value of our clients estate, very seriously.
Do I have to be working thru a real estate agent to use your services?
Not at all. Although, we do work with many of the top real estate sale agents in the valley, you can contact us on your own and/or let your real estate agent know that you will be using our services. We will work with them to stay on the same page as far as the estate sale dates and closing times.
Will I be signing a contract to use your services?
Yes. We have a short agreement that states the main items to be included in the sale, dates of sale, percentage charged, and the expectations for both parties.
How far in advance should we book your services?
As far ahead as possible, to be guaranteed a chosen date on the calendar. 3-4 months is best. But it doesn't always work out like that, we know that. We can sometimes accommodate a family request in a short amount of time. So give us a call and see if we have an opening.
